Secure Video Psychiatry

Telehealth Psychiatry & Mental Health Care

Peak Body & Mind offers secure, private video telehealth for patients located in the states where Josh Swigart, APRN, PMHNP-BC, is licensed to practice. Telehealth lets us begin care, manage medications, and follow your progress between in-person visits—with the same depth and precision as an in-office appointment.

Where we provide telehealth

Telehealth services are available only to patients who are physically located in one of the following states at the time of the appointment.

Nevada
Florida
California

Your location at the time of the visit - not your home address or where you usually live - determines where care is delivered. If you will be located outside these states at the time of your appointment, we are not able to provide telehealth care to you during that visit. We are working to expand access to additional states; please contact us to confirm current availability before booking.

Florida Patients
Provider Registration Information

In accordance with section 456.47, Florida Statutes, a hyperlink to the Florida Department of Health's telehealth website is provided below. The Department publishes information about registered telehealth providers on its website.

What we use telehealth for

Telehealth is well suited to many parts of care, including:

Initial consultations, where clinically appropriate

Medication management and adjustments

Follow-up visits and progress reviews

Reviewing labs, diagnostics, and your treatment plan

Care coordination and check-ins between in-person visits

Some services must be provided in person at our Reno, Nevada clinic because they require physical administration or monitoring. These include IV nutrient therapy, ketamine infusions, EBOO, neuroregulatory injections, and similar in-clinic procedures. Your provider will tell you when an in-person visit is needed.

A note on prescriptions

A telehealth visit does not guarantee that any particular medication will be prescribed. Some medications are controlled substances and are subject to specific federal and state telehealth prescribing rules. Whether a medication can be prescribed by telehealth depends on your location, your diagnosis, and current law. Your provider will determine what is clinically appropriate and permitted in your situation, and may require an in-person visit before prescribing certain medications.

What to expect from a telehealth visit

To have a telehealth visit, you will need:

  • A private, quiet space where you can speak confidentially

  • A smartphone, tablet, or computer with a camera and microphone

  • A stable internet connection

  • To be physically located in Nevada, Florida, or California during the visit

At the start of each visit, we will confirm your identity and your physical location. This is required both for your safety in an emergency and to make sure care is delivered lawfully. Before your first telehealth appointment, you will be asked to review and agree to a telehealth informed-consent form. You may request an in-person visit instead of telehealth at any time.
